Description:
Josephus is a variable typeface whose purpose is to optimise design in reduced branding environments, such as small packaging and manual instructions, as well as any other application with reduced space to typeset extensive content. Its two variable axes allow weight and optical size control, making it simple to find the best design space in each instance. Transitional in spirit but with a contemporary heart, the open counters of the text style make it pleasant to read, allowing more character fitting per line due to its narrow proportions, additionally, tight leading is possible thanks to the short descenders and ascenders. Oppositely, the high contrast of the display style adds a valiant touch to the family, creating a contrasted balance between the two styles. Although Josephus is currently in a process of expansion and refinement, coming soon it will be available under a new name.
